 This piece is an homage to the lion women of Tehran, a phrase rooted in the Persian term shir-zan, used to describe women who are fearless, resilient, and unwavering in the face of adversity  .

Gold leaf is embedded throughout the surface, catching the light like sparks, moments of defiance, visibility, and truth that refuse to be dimmed.

This painting speaks to the kind of strength that doesn’t always announce itself loudly, but instead builds, holds, and endures. It is about women who continue forward, despite, because of, and in resistance to everything that tries to silence them.
